Additionally, it offers a distinctive chance for attendees to directly engage with deans of admission, admission officers, financial aid officers, faculty, and staff representing diverse health professional programs and organizations.
Stanford University Minority Medical Alliance (SUMMA) Pre-Health Conference: The goal of the Stanford University Minority Medical Alliance (SUMMA) is to increase diversity in the health professions to better care for underserved communities. The SUMMA conference is one of the oldest on the West Coast and draws hundreds of students from throughout California and the nation.
Internships/Summer Programs
UC Davis Prep Médico: Scholars in the program have the opportunity to interact with health professionals at UC Davis Medical Center and Kaiser facilities, examine Latinx health disparities and the social determinants of health, understand their personal leadership style, develop new skills, and receive structured academic advising and mentoring, with the possibility of being eligible for a stipend upon successful completion of the program.

The Stanford Summer Community College Premedical Program (SSCCPP) targets current community college students considered low-income and/or underrepresented in medicine providing exposure to medicine and health through topics in health disparities, leadership challenges in health provision and administration, science success strategies, professional development, clinical exposure, successful preparation for the medical school application process, postsecondary and graduate/professional school financing.
