UC Davis Pre-Health Conference: This Pre-Health Conference equips community college, university, and post-bac students, along with pre-health advisors, with essential information and skills for a successful health-professions school admission process. Additionally, it offers a distinctive chance for attendees to directly engage with deans of admission, admission officers, financial aid officers, faculty, and staff representing diverse health professional programs and organizations.

Stanford University Minority Medical Alliance (SUMMA) Pre-Health Conference: The goal of the Stanford University Minority Medical Alliance (SUMMA) is to increase diversity in the health professions to better care for underserved communities. The SUMMA conference is one of the oldest on the West Coast and draws hundreds of students from throughout California and the nation.

Internships/Summer Programs

UC Davis Prep Médico: Scholars in the program have the opportunity to interact with health professionals at UC Davis Medical Center and Kaiser facilities, examine Latinx health disparities and the social determinants of health, understand their personal leadership style, develop new skills, and receive structured academic advising and mentoring, with the possibility of being eligible for a stipend upon successful completion of the program.

Leadership Education for Aspiring Physicians (LEAP) by Stanford Office of Diversity in Medical Education: This is a project-based seminar series tailored for college students aspiring to enter the healthcare field. LEAP provides a structured approach to leader development with a focus on enhancing community health and well-being.

Stanford Summer Community College Premedical Program (SSCCPP)

The Stanford Summer Community College Premedical Program (SSCCPP) targets current community college students considered low-income and/or underrepresented in medicine providing exposure to medicine and health through topics in health disparities, leadership challenges in health provision and administration, science success strategies, professional development, clinical exposure, successful preparation for the medical school application process, postsecondary and graduate/professional school financing.

Health Career Connections (HCC) Internship: HCC offers talented, diverse undergraduate and recent college graduates a comprehensive paid summer internship program that provides invaluable experience, mentoring, and networking in the health field. The HCC program includes experiential learning, professional development, mentorship, peer support/networking, and exposure and exploration.
